4SCENE JUNE 2020 (Recap)
OUR PASSION
We are an entity driven to provide a platform for filmmakers and artists to have their work seen & experienced by our community.
With so much content being created, posted, and recycled every day, it's hard for filmmakers and content creators to find the right audience that truly wants to connect with their work. Unfortunately, for digital media artists, social media is the main place where a lot of us share our work. So, we decided to figure out a way to get the content of local professionals in our city in front of the Indianapolis community; giving them a platform for their work to be seen & experienced, on the big screen, in the way they designed. We held our first installment of 4SCENE Film Festival on June 25, 2020 at Tibbs Drive-In Theatre, and have maintained the schedule of 3 festivals a year (every June, August & October) since this day. Watch the recap, and get a taste of the 4SCENE experience.

Our
Story
4SCENE Film Festival was created in January of 2020, by Founder, Tai Payne, with the help of Program Director, Mark Steenbarger, & Director of Communications, Faith Causey.
With social media being the main place to share the work that you've sweat & bled over, Tai noticed a problem he and many other creators faced: over-saturation of the internet. So much media is pumped out every second of the day, and it's easy to mindlessly scroll past top tier work storytellers from our city are releasing. Filmmakers needed a space to separate their work from all the noise; a place where people could see, hear, and fully experience a piece of work in the way the artist envisioned.
Get to Know Us
We held our first installment on June 25, 2020 at Tibbs Drive-In Theatre. We learned by building a cinematic experience for the community, we could help local filmmakers have their films be acknowledged as work that can contend in larger markets. Support from the community is a key factor in an artist's career in film (other industries as well). Having that backing is important when trying to get your body of work to the next level.
That's how we view 4SCENE Film Festival; we want to help elevate the talent here to higher heights and get their names involved in more conversations. Another goal behind the festival was to create a space where filmmakers could see each other's work, meet one another, and network to see how they could help each other on upcoming projects, or start fresh ideas for new stories to be told. We wanted to create a space where people could not only be acknowledged, but receive genuine help and feedback from their peers to progress.
We accept content of all kinds: short films, documentaries, music videos, commercials, fashion films, web-series, pilots, abstract pieces, animations, skits, and more. There are creators out there that just can't be confined to a specific format, so we offer our platform to anyone who makes it through our screening process.
